I grow daylilies for my enjoyment. It is a hobby that has gotten way out of control.
I am amazed at what God creates through my labors. I love seeing that first time bloom on a 9 month seedling or see an introduction out perform the registration information. I hope you enjoy your visit.

Collecting and nurturing daylilies is an enriching retirement hobby. Tending to these flowers not only gives you a delightful reason to rise each morning, but also offers the physical activity of building beds, weeding, and strolling through your garden—much more enjoyable than a day at the office or a trip to the gym!
I am committed to providing resilient plants that flourish in the challenging conditions of our southern climate. I am also testing many of my registrations and seedlings in the North with incredible success.

I specialize in hybridizing a diverse collection of daylilies, spanning timeless classics, distinctive forms, and striking diploids featuring intricate edges. Every plant is cultivated naturally directly in the ground under full sun, thriving with minimal fertilizer to ensure optimal strength and beauty.
Expert care
While I do not claim to be an expert, we adhere strictly to natural selection and sustainable gardening practices to cultivate plants that are robust and ready to thrive in your landscape. Any plants that are not selected for propagation are donated to local club sales or repurposed into compost. While daylilies are naturally susceptible to certain conditions, we carefully cull any stock that fails to demonstrate strong vigor and disease resistance. Although we strive for optimal health, we maintain realistic standards and transparently refrain from claiming to be completely rust-free.
